Clothing plays an important role in our lives. We dress not only to keep warm. An outfit is a way of self-expression. Style of clothing influences on the impression one makes.

However, the school has a certain dress code. Therefore, a large share of my wardrobe consists of casual clothes, such as white and blue blouses, shirts, black pants and skirts.

But I try to make my appearance not too boring. I have original accessories for this: bags, earrings, key chains, hairpins. I like kawaii style accessories, they are very cute.

Out of school I prefer more comfortable clothes: jeans, t-shirts, hoodies. I like t-shirts with funny prints, like cats. Such outfits cheer up both me and others.

I wear shoes at school, and I prefer sports footwear for walks.

I always choose my new clothes carefully. Although it takes a lot of time, but thoughtful outfits give me self-confidence and allow me to feel comfortable.

Одежда играет важную роль в нашей жизни. Мы носим одежду не только чтобы не замерзнуть. Одежда — это способ самовыражения. Стиль одежды влияет на наше впечатление о человеке.

Однако в школе требуется соблюдать определенный дресс-код. Поэтому существенную часть моего гардероба составляет такая повседневная одежда как белые и синие блузки, рубашки, черные брюки и юбки.

Но я стараюсь, чтобы моя внешность не была слишком скучной. Для этого у меня есть оригинальные аксессуары: сумки, серьги, брелоки, заколки. Мне нравятся аксессуары в стиле «кавай», они очень милые.

Вне школы я предпочитаю более удобную одежду: джинсы, футболки, толстовки. Мне нравятся футболки с забавными принтами, например, с кошками. Такая одежда поднимает настроение как мне самой, так и окружающим.

В школе я ношу туфли, а для прогулок я предпочитаю спортивную обувь.

Я всегда тщательно подхожу к выбору новой одежды. Хотя это и занимает довольно много времени, зато продуманный внешний вид придает уверенности в себе и позволяет чувствовать себя комфортно.

Clothes make the man. The widely-known proverb says that our appearance is just as important as our intelligence and inner world. In my opinion, clothes are our philosophy. We can express our attitude to life by means of clothes.

The way I dress depends on my mood, personality and of course on the occasion. There are lots of styles of clothes: casual, classic, sport, retro, romantic, ethnic, vintage, chic, minimalistic and others. To my mind, each of them is good in different situations but I have 3 major styles in my wardrobe: casual, sport and romantic.

I’m firmly convinced that clothes should be simple and comfortable enough to work and have fun in it. I am not into inconvenient and impractical clothes that just look smart. On the other hand, I’m quite choosy about the quality of my wardrobe. The British say: ““Good clothes open all doors”, and I fully agree with them.

I find that the idea of a “basic wardrobe” just awesome! So I usually buy items of clothing so that they could match each other. For example, most of my cardigans and blouses (shirts) suit my skirts and trousers. The same thing is about jewelry and shoes. Such simple and interchangeable wardrobe helps me save my time and I hardly ever face problems with choosing something to put on. On the whole, my personal style is not only about clothes. In fact, it is also about my hair, make-up, accessories and the way I walk, the way I talk.

In conclusion, I’d say that when I look good, I feel good. The way I look is important to me. My style gives me a sense of identity and self-confidence. But, of course, I don’t think that clothes are the most important thing in my life. So I am not addicted to fashion and I don’t spend half of my free time shopping.

Одежда делает человека. Широко известная пословица говорит о том, что наша внешность так же важна, как и наш ум и внутренний мир. По моему мнению, одежда – это наша философия. Мы можем выражать наше отношение к жизни при помощи одежды.

То, как я одеваюсь, зависит от моего настроения, характера и, конечно же, повода. Существует много стилей одежды: повседневный, классический, спортивный, ретро, романтический, этнический, винтажный, элегантный, минималистичный и другие. На мой взгляд, каждый из них хорош в различных ситуациях, но в моем гардеробе присутствуют три основных стиля: повседневный, спортивный и романтический.

Я твердо уверен(а), что одежда должна быть простой и достаточно удобной для того, чтобы в ней работать и веселиться. Я не любитель неудобной и непрактичной одежды, которая лишь выглядит красиво. С другой стороны, я очень придирчив(а) к качеству моего гардероба. Британцы говорят: «Хорошая одежда все двери открывает», и я полностью согласен(на) с ними.

Я считаю идею «базового гардероба» просто превосходной! Поэтому обычно я покупаю предметы одежды так, чтобы они сочетались друг в другом. Например, большая часть моих кофт и блузок (рубашек) подходит к моим юбкам и брюкам. То же самое касается ювелирных изделий и обуви. Такой простой и взаимозаменяемый гардероб помогает мне экономить время, и я почти никогда не сталкиваюсь с проблемой выбора того, что надеть. В целом, мой личный стиль подразумевает не только одежду. На самом деле, он также касается моей прически, макияжа, аксессуаров и того, как я хожу и как я разговариваю.

В заключение я бы сказал(а), что когда я выгляжу хорошо, я чувствую себя хорошо. То, как я выгляжу, важно для меня. Мой стиль дает мне ощущение индивидуальности и уверенности в себе. Но, разумеется, я не считаю одежду наиважнейшей вещью в жизни, поэтому я не чувствую зависимости от моды и не трачу половину свободного времени на походы по магазинам.

To begin with, I want to say that our appearance is just as important as our intelligence and inner world. There is even a proverb that “Clothes make the man”. I couldn’t say better! If you want my opinion, clothes are our mood, comfort and philosophy (attitude to life).

The way people dress depends on their taste and character and also on the season and occasion. There are many style of clothes: casual, classic, sport, traditional, romantic, ethnic, vintage, chic, exotic and others. To my mind, we shouldn’t stop on any particular style because each of them is good in different situations. That’s why I prefer casual style, but sometimes can wear sport or ethnic outfits (for example when I travel abroad).

I’m absolutely convinced that clothes should be comfortable. For me, it’s the most important feature of any piece of clothing. Because I want to be able to walk, work or relax in it. I don’t understand those people who buy inconvenient clothes that just look smart. That’s not reasonable and practical, I consider.

I find that the idea of a “basic wardrobe” is just brilliant! So I try to buy clothes in such a way they could match each other. Most of my sweatshirts, for example, suit all my trousers as well as skirts. The same is about footwear.

I’ve got some outfits that are classical, several suits that are really modern and some stuff that is just casual and I can wear them almost everywhere. You know, such simple and interchangeable wardrobe helps me save time. I don’t have problems with choosing something to put on.

To tell you the truth, on the one hand, I love when clothes are simple. But on the other hand, I’m very choosy about my stuff. I spend some time to find the thing that I really like. What is more I pay a lot of attention to the condition of my clothes. I love when they are clean and tidy. In England they say, that “Good clothes open all doors” and I think it’s true.

To conclude, I’d say that when I look good, I feel good. So for me the way I look is important. But, of course, I don’t think that clothes are the most important thing in our life. So I don’t follow any fashion and I don’t spend half of my free time shopping.

Fashion and My style of clothes

Fashion is a thing that we have to keep up with, whether you like it or not. Anyway it’s important to look attractive. But it doesn’t mean that you should be a fashion-conscious . It may turn to a waste of money . If a person doesn’t have good taste he is not able to put things together . Trendy people want to stand out in a crowd , but sometimes they don’t look stylish.
First of all, think clothes should suit you . If you have good taste you can buy a big range of styles and always look fashionable. But clothes should suit the occasion , and put you in the right mood for the day. But there are people who are not able bothered about fashion, they just want to stand out in a crowd by wearing something unusual, old-fashioned or trendy. Actually, I’m not such a person and I guess you should choose things according to your personality and character, and you’ll look well-dressed even if you wear something casual .

I like wearing different kinds of clothes, but certainly clothes should suit the occasion. When I plan what I’m going to wear I usually think what kind of meeting I have. At school we weren’t allowed to wear sport or bright clothes, we had to wear clothes of formal style. Usually I wore a jacket, a blouse and trousers or a skirt. But I didn’t like being dressed that way, as many other students. Really I prefer smart clothes to formal. Besides I enjoy wearing sport clothes, because I feel comfortable in it. Also on my list of likes there are jeans. One of my favourite colours is white, so I like white sweaters, tops and skirts. I usually wear high heeled shoes even if it’s not always comfortable or thick-soled boots. When I go out I always dress up, because I feel better that way. But when I have an official meeting I try to wear formal clothes.

Today’s world is often called the computer world. We cannot imagine our life without computers. The first computers were developed during the Second World War. They were used to break the codes, used to send secret information.

Our world is really a small world. Modern transport facilities make it possible to reach any part of our planet within a few hours. People have to communicate and solve common problems in all the spheres of political life, economy and culture. Communication is an interaction of cultures. The knowledge of each other’s culture and traditions is very often important for successful business and political talks. We, Russians, very often surprise our foreign partners by our behavior and manners.

Unemployment is a very urgent problem today. Years ago when a man left school he learnt some job and did this job all his life. He could be sure that his job would be needed to his dying day. Nowadays he couldn’t be sure. Your work may look like a very good job at present, but it may not be needed in 10 years.

Drug addiction is a big problem today. Even 5 years ago this problem did not exist in small towns. We read about drug addicts in the USA and other countries of the West. This problem existed in big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg. Today different drugs are sold in our city and what is worse they are bought and taken by people, mostly young people. Drugs are ruinous for health and they destroy the personality of those who take them.

We can’t call today’s world a safe world. Many dangers come from nature, I mean floods, earthquakes and so on. But people are also dangerous for each other. Unfortunately, there are some people who don’t stop at anything to achieve their aims. They even think ‘the more victims the better’. Our country was one of the first to have terrorist attacks. I mean the attacks in Moscow when two apartment houses were destroyed. There were acts of terrorism in all parts of the world at the end of the 20th century: in Japan, in England and in France.

I’d like to tell you about my native town. Izhevsk is very large industrial town locted in the European part of Russia between the Volga River and the Ural mountains. It has a population of about 700.000. Izhevsk was founded in l760 as a settlement. The industrial development f the history began with the construction of an iron works. In 1918 Izhevsk became a town and since 1921 it has been the capital of Udmurtia.

Science is finding out about things around us. How do you find out about things? One way is to ask questions about them. But suppose no one knows the answers. Then you have to think of ways to find the answers yourself. This usually means doing something to the «thing» to see what happens. Doing something to see what happens is called experimenting. Scientists ask questions about things around us.

The Udmurt Republic is a sovereign republic within the Russian Federation. It is situated in the Western part of the Middle Urals between two great rivers the Kama and the Vyatka. In 1991 the republic became open for foreign visitors. Since that time Udmurtia has had close and friendly relations with many countries of the world in the fields of culture, education, trade, sport and tourism. The Government of the republic is very much interested in the development of local tourism.

When you get up in the morning, you have breakfast and usually listen to the weather forecast. Some of us think it’s unnecessary, but some tend to do it.

Although much has been written about this subject, whenever we are puzzled about it. We ask the question: What is love? Love means different things to different people. Children regard love from their point of view, while they are very young. As we grow older, love grows into different dimensions with our maturing. Love changes constantly, because we change from day to day.
